Pastor Wade Joye is from Columbia, South Carolina. He moved to Charlotte in 2007 to help build Elevation Worship, even though he didn’t know anyone in the city. Wade had to ask friends from Columbia to come and help just to fill the team. As the church grew, more people joined the team.
Wade’s focus in worship ministry was on leading songs, writing music, and being on albums. However, he soon realized that these dreams did not bring true fulfillment or define success. Wade learned that while these things can help churches reach people, they aren’t what truly measure success in ministry.
