Travis Montorius Greene was born on January 17, 1984, in Dover, Delaware. He was raised by his mother, Charleather Greene, in Warner Robins, Georgia. In 1989, Travis lost his father to an aneurysm. His life has been full of miracles. He was born still but came back to life. At the age of 4, he fell from a four-story building and survived.
Travis has two sisters named Kim and Shalonda.

Career
Travis Greene began his musical career with his first album, The More, released by Greenelight Records on December 4, 2007. His next studio album, Stretching Out, was released on June 8 by Pendulum Records.
Stretching Out marked Greene’s debut on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart, reaching number 27. The songs “Still Here” and “Prove My Love” peaked at numbers 17 and 29 on the Billboard Top Gospel Songs chart.
On August 21, 2015, Greene released an extended play called Intentional with RCA Inspiration. It debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart, and the single “Intentional” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top Gospel Songs list.
Greene’s second studio album, The Hill, was released on October 30, 2015, by RCA Inspiration and hit No. 1 on the Billboard Gospel charts.
Greene’s rise in gospel music has been covered by Billboard Magazine, Rolling Out Magazine, and Jet Magazine. He has performed at the Essence Music Festival, Trumpet Awards, and BMI Trailblazers. In 2016, JET Magazine called him “The Future of Gospel.”
In 2017, Greene faced criticism for performing at President Donald Trump’s inaugural ball.
On February 2, 2017, he recorded his third album, Crossover: Live From Music City, in Nashville, Tennessee.
At the 2017 Stellar Gospel Music Awards on March 24, Greene won seven trophies. He also performed a medley of “Made a Way” with Israel Houghton, Jonathan McReynolds, and Jonathan Butler at the ceremony.
